Lamberg, Cairnduff appointed to Asia team for hedge fund Crédit Agricole

Benjamin Lamberg and Bruce Cairnduff have been appointed to senior positions at Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank. Lamberg has been named head of global debt markets for Asia and will oversee the primary and secondary global debt market trading activity locally. Cairnduff was appointed as head of debt capital markets team for Asia and will be overseeing all of Crédit Agricole CIB’s primary debt activities in the region.

Following are the latest appointments from Hedge Funds Review:

Gerrit Van Gorp has been appointed to lead marketing in the Nordic and Benelux regions at Cairn Capital. He will mainly focus on building the company’s investor base in the regions. Van Gorp joins Cairn Capital from Pictet Asset Management where he has worked as chief marketing officer for northern Europe since 2005.

The Man Group has appointed Judy Saunders as a senior adviser. Saunders assumes the role after seven years as chief investment officer at West Midlands Pension Fund where she was responsible for developing the £8.7 billion ($13.5 bilion) fund’s innovative investment strategy.

Paul Busby has been named as head of prime services sales, Americas, at HSBC. He previously worked at Bankers Trust and then Deutsche Bank, most recently as managing director and co-head of equity finance Americas. Busby will report locally to Tom O’Leary, head of equities, Americas, and functionally to Chris Barrow, global head of prime services sales.
Additionally, Brian Hughes has been named as client services manager for HSBC clients in the US market. He will report locally to Busby and functionally to Terry Minkey, global head of prime services client services.

Bjørn Barbesgaard will be joining asset management advisory KB Associates as a senior consultant in Luxembourg. He joins from Nordea Investment Funds where he worked as managing director.

Global multi-asset brokerage and clearing house Newedge has appointed Peter Barrowcliff as its global chief operating officer. He will mainly be based in London and be responsible for the back end, credit, technology and product development as well as supervising the UK metals desk. He joins from Nomura where he was helping to improve, build and deliver the bank’s futures offering in Asia. He has spent the last five years trading at the London Metals Exchange and has over 35 years of experience in this sector.

Simon Hirtenstein has been appointed as head of portfolio solutions within the market products and services team for RBC Dexia Investor Services. Hirtenstein will be based in London and will work with the team’s product managers. Previously, Hirtenstein had a number of senior leadership positions in Canada, the UK and Bermuda, including a position at HSBC Securities Services where he led a programme that built and introduced a third-party securities lending platform.

Capital Support, a bespoke IT solutions provider, has appointed Ray Bricknell as head of technical services. Bricknell is a former RAB Capital chief technology officer. He has more than 30 years’ experience in the IT industry and has held senior management roles at Prudential, Marsh & McLennan and Barclays.

HedgeMark, a provider of risk monitoring tools, has recently appointed three senior professionals to its business development and marketing teams. Steven Lonsdorf will be working for HedgeMark Securities as president and chief compliance officer. Ben Yaffee is joining as managing director and will be responsible for marketing and capital formation. Danielle Terrazzino will be joining the company as vice-president. All three have previously worked with Nighthawk Partners and will be involved in HedgeMark’s business development and marketing teams.
