Northern Trust Global Investments appoints Japan unit president

(PIonline) Hidehiro Nakayama was named representative director and president of Northern Trust Global Investments Japan, confirmed spokeswoman Sara Murshed.

Mr. Nakayama will lead and manage the continued growth of the firm’s money management business in Japan, according to a news release. He will have overall responsibility for sales, product development, client service and operational teams in Tokyo.

He will report to Wayne Bowers, CEO, asset management, for the Europe, Middle East and Africa and Asia-Pacific regions.

Mr. Nakayama was executive managing director at Northern Trust. Information about his replacement was not available.
